"THE Miccosukee Indians are the descendants of a tribe mighty when White men first came to Florida.

   Their hunting land stretched over Florida, through parts of Georgia.  Alabama, and Mississippi.  A Hitchite tribe, as archeologists call them, they trace back to Central America by language and artifacts."
